Pages for Mac does a very good job of rendering complex formatting found within more complicated docx files, and thus if the document looks weird or doesn’t show up properly in TextEdit, Pages is the solution (aside from installing Microsoft Office, of course): Open the Pages app in Mac OS X (found in /Applications/ folder). In Oracle VirtualBox, it is possible to add a floppy drive to a virtual machine. Virtual floppy drives, like virtual CD/DVD drives, can be connected to either a host floppy drive (if you have one) or a disk image, which must be in RAW format.
