- Nerano Manor Key - Get the key to Nerano Manor. Sugar-Lips Habasi in the Balmora Hall asks you get the key for Nerano Manor. Two people in Balmora have the key, Ondres Nerano has the key in the bottom part of the Manor (the key is for the top part), and his servant, Sovor Trandel, in the Council Club.
- Allows you to access the Nerano Vault from inside Domehome instead of constantly breaking in to Nerano Manor.
Re: Nerano Manor Key what i usually do is get the side quest from the guy at moonmoth(the one about the 'little story' and the commana tong) and then i taunt the servant into attacking me, just.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Chat with Sugar-Lips Habasi about jobs and Nerano Manor.
- Acquire a key to Nerano Manor from Ondres Nerano or Sovor Trandel.
- Give the key to Sugar-Lips Habasi to complete the quest and receive your reward.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Job[edit]
Sugar-Lips Habasi in Balmora's South Wall Cornerclub asks you to acquire the key to Nerano Manor. There are two copies, one held by Ondres Nerano in the manor itself (he is downstairs but the key opens the upstairs), and his servant Sovor Trandel, who hangs out at the Council Club (near the Silt Strider).
Obtaining the Key[edit]
The cleanest (although often hardest) way to acquire the key is to Pickpocket it from one of them. You may want to save so you can reload until you succeed.
Alternately, you can kill Sovor (ideally by Taunt or Frenzy to get him to attack you, so you don't get a bounty). He is fully expendable, and if you're also doing Larrius Varro's quest (talk to him at Moonmoth Legion Fort to start it), you're supposed to kill him anyway.
If you raise his Disposition to 70 or higher, a Nerano Manor topic will appear; using it will cause him to ask for a little compensation, and it will update your journal. If you successfully bribe again (any amount), he will give you the key.
In the unpatched version of the game, another way is to attack Ondres with Hand-to-hand. His skill at it is very low, and he is easily beaten. Once he goes down, you can take the key from him. In the patched game, trying to steal from an unconscious character no longer works.
If you kill Ondres, you'll still be able to complete the quest. However, Habasi angrily takes the key without paying you because now the house won't have any new valuables in it for a long, long time.
Complete the Quest[edit]
![Key To Nerano Manor Key To Nerano Manor](/uploads/1/2/5/8/125857790/173902854.jpg)
Once you have the key be sure to clear out the Manor yourself before returning to Habasi. She'll pay you 500 gold for the key, and that's in addition to anything you already took from the house.
Notes[edit]
- If you've activated Larrius Varro's quest, the other patrons – all of whom along with Sovor are members of the Camonna Tong – will attack when you fight Sovor, so you may have quite a bar fight on your hands. If this happens just grab the key and high-tail it out of there, you can return to kill the others later.
- If you are a member of House Redoran, you will be asked to duel Ondres. If you kill him in this duel, you will be penalized by the Thieves Guild, but Ondres will give up if you knock him out or his health drops below 50.
- If Ondres dies during the quest, Habasi is annoyed because it makes her task 'very hard'. You get the Thieves Guild reputation increase, but not the gold or disposition bump.
- If you get the key by bribing, you can return it to Ondres Nerano and receive ten gold as well as a Disposition increase. Ondres gets pretty mad and 'will deal' with Sovor Trandel. Sovor will no longer be at the Council Club making it impossible to complete Larrius Varro's quest. If you go back to Sugar-Lips Habasi empty handed, she'll yell at you and send you back to get an extra key. Of course now you will have to pickpocket it.
- If you bribe Sovor Trandel for the key, you can get another copy of the key if/when you kill him for Larrius Varro.
- If you are short on gold with which to bribe Sovor, note that he will buy books from you.
- You can also increase Sovor's Disposition by successfully trading with him. Sovor buys books and Paper items, which means you can repeatedly buy his Provinces of Tamriel for 1 gold piece, then sell it back for the same value. You can get his Disposition to 70 fairly quickly and save up on the gold that would otherwise be required to bribe him to that point.
- Regardless of how you get the key from Sovor, it might be a good idea to pay a visit to Nerano Manor and 'liberate' what you can from it before having to return the key to Sugar-Lips Habasi. While it's not necessary to unlock the side entrance as one can enter through the front door, the key will unlock the upstairs bedroom door, where one can find various pieces of Expensive Clothing and Exquisite Clothing, several beverages and gold, although some can only be acquired with a higher proficiency in Security.
Bugs[edit]
- You can sometimes start this quest, then have the next one start if you talk to Habasi again before completing this one. If this happens, the Journal will need to be updated manually with one of the codes below to complete this quest. ?

10 | Sugar-Lips Habasi asked me to bring her the key to the top floor of the Nerano Manor here in Balmora. Ondres Nerano certainly has a key, but it may be easier to get the key from one of his servants, such as Sovor Trandel at the Balmora Council Club.
30 | Sovor Trandel has suggested that, for a little 'compensation,' he'd be willing to help me out.
50 | I convinced Sovor Trandel to give me the key to Nerano Manor.
70 | I told Ondres Nerano that Sovor Trandel gave me a key to his manor. Ondres Nerano gave me 10 gold as a reward.
100 | Sugar-Lips Habasi thanked me for bringing her the key to Nerano Manor. |

The following is the entirety of Felonius Wildheart's Journal, which takes place on Vvardenfell, in the Imperial Province of Morrowind.
Prologue - Felonius heading to Morrowind
10th of Last Seed.
Good day to you all. My name is Felonius Wildheart. I'm keeping thisjournal to give myself something to do. I'm currently on a prison shipbound for the province of Morrowind. The continent of Vvardenfell, morespecifically. Why? Well, I don't know why I'm being taken there, actually. The emperor himself ordered that I be... oh, why am I on aprison ship, you mean? Because I'm a prisoner, naturally. Why am I aprisoner? Let me ask you, why must you ask so many questions? Alright, point made... I wouldn't want you thinking I'm a murderous pirate orthe like. In truth, I was imprisoned for stealing a variety of jewelryfrom a lovely manor house, in Cyrodiil. Yes I was guilty. Note that I'mnot sorry. The duke should give his daughter nicer things, if hedoesn't want me stealing them from his subjects to give to her. Ah, NOWyou see why I wasn't hanged. Nice girl, the duke's daughter. I missher, after a fashion, but I'm sure I'll find someone else. We'd onlyknown each other a short time, after all.
Well, there isn't a whole lot to write about, here on the ship. Thedark elf next to me, Jiub, is getting sick all over the floor, and Ireally need to move before he vomits all over my journal. I spent thebetter part of a week getting this journal. It required me giving theguards most of my food. The quill and ink were aquired the week after, through the same method. I'd say the guards should be fed better, butas a prisoner I haven't anything else to trade but my daily rations, soI'm kind of glad that their fare isn't much better than mine. Anyways,I really don't want this book ruined, so I'm going to keep it away fromJiub until he stops looking so green.

14th of Last Seed.
Alright, I was going to write more but... nothing has happened intruth. I've regained most of the weight that I lost the first coupleweeks. I didn't even have to resort to eating the leather cover of myjournal. I've been composing some poems in my head as the ship bobsback and forth, but none of them are very good, so I won't share them.Life as a prisoner is hardly inspiring.
I suppose I will need to wait for this trip to be finished before Ican write anymore of value. The guards say we are nearly to Morrowindnow, so I guess I won't be bored for long. Jiub especially seems to beexcited to leave this place. He doesn't know where they're taking him,but he's hopeful that he will be let go on Morrowind. He has a lot offamily there, so it makes sense, I guess.
I'll write more after I get to shore.

I'll write more after I get to shore.
I've arrived in Morrowind finally. And what a day it has been. Ihad a bad dream last night... very strange stuff. I woke up as welanded... Jiub shook me awake, and then... he asked my name? Alright...I'd like to think I'm not as faceless and forgettable as some people.Besides... we've been trapped in the hold of this ship with each otherfor a while now. I certainly know his name.
Anyways, I was escorted out of the hold by a guard, and I headeddown to the docks. I went through processing. I told the soldier I wasfrom Valenwood, and he told me to head into this office. As I enteredthe office, I saw the ship pull away from the docks. Alas, poor Jiub. Iknew him... hardly at all. Inside, I talked to one Socucius Ergallaabout my background. He wanted to know my profession... I told him thatI was a troubadour, of sorts. 'What's that?' he asks me, raising aneyebrow. Some people need to get out more.
I responded, 'you know, a wanderer. A bard of sorts.' 'Oh, atroublemaker, then. That explains why you arrived on a prison ship,' hecountered in a sarcastic tone. 'Alright, what are your skills then?'
So I went on to describe what I know to do. 'I'm a Bosmer from Valenwood, what do you thinkI'm good at? I'm handy with a bow. I'm sneaky. I can jump higher thanyou can, as long as I wear lighter armors, which I prefer. I know someherbal lore, and I can fix up a hangover remedy in no time. Inaddition, I have training in diplomacy, and making holes in fleshyobjects with small bladed weapons. I can jog a decent distance withoutwheezing, I've been told how to cast illusion magics, not that I knowany. Oh yeah... and I'm an expert, er... locksmith. Yeah, locksmith. And as wood elves go, I'm charming, and a bit more agile than most.Don't let the pudgy cheeks fool you.'
He gave me some papers, and told me to talk to give them to one Sellus Gravius as I left, for my orders.
'Orders?!?' I shrieked. 'Move along, Bosmer,' came the reply.
Ah well. The guard unlocked the door. I closed it 'politely' behindmyself, and headed to the end of the hallway. Aha! I grabbed a fewvarious herbs and eggs and such from some sacks in an unoccupied room.I also grabbed a spoon. Hey, you never know, right? I then found myselfbacktracking to a room with a table set for a meal of crab meat. Mycrabmeat now. I ransacked the room. I found a dagger and lockpick. In abarely locked chest, I found some gold. I grabbed some bread, and moreherbs. And booze. Lots of booze... mazte, and some Cyrodiilic brandy. And a book, which wasn't particularly interesting, but did lookvaluable. And right before leaving... I took all the silver tableware.
I located a backpack to put these things in. Wouldn't do to haveme talk to someone holding all the silverware from the next room, right? Heading out the door, I found a barrel containing a magical ringwith the name Fargoth inscribed on it. Might be handy, I figured, and pocketed it.
Sellus Gravius yelled at me when I tried to walk past him. He thengave me orders to head to Balmora, and ask at the South Wall CornerClub for directions to a Caius Cosades. I was to deliver asealed package to him. Sure, whatever. He also gave me some money, which I was a little bit more enthusiastic about. I left as quickly asI was able.
Outside, I was greeted by one Vodonius Nuccius. He welcomed me toSeyda Neen, the town I was in. He said that if I was planning onheading to Balmora, I should take the silt strider and mention hisname. Not a bad idea, I figured. Maybe I'll get a discount, orsomething.
I then spied a fellow Bosmer! Excited, I hopped over and introducedmyself. His name was Fargoth, and he was whining about having lost hisring to some Imperials. Go figure. Actually, he whined a lot, and wasrather annoying about it. I gave him the ring I found, figuring it washis, and he was so happy he said he would tell his friend Arille at thetradehouse. That
I headed to Arille's right away to equip myself. Apparently wordtravels fast in small towns, because Fargoth had already told him aboutthe ring. Arille was very polite to me, and gave me fantastic prices ona chitin shortbow and arrows, a mortar and pestle, some Nordic furboots (not made of real Nords, thank you,) and a netch leather cuirass.Sure, it's not as prime as chitin armor, but I feel somewhat opposed towearing the skeleton of an insect. Repulsive. I also got a good pricefor some of the things I nicked from the census and excise office.
Arille and I chatted a bit, and he mentioned a bandit hole near thesilt strider. Adama-something or other. I noted it down as a place tomake new friends, and headed upstairs for a drink at the bar, to meet acertain Hrisskar that Arille said was having money problems. I ran intoHrissker, whose name was mentioned on a note in the tax office. Thedagger I carry was stabbed through it. He and I talked a bit. He'd losta gambling match, and usually makes ends meet by shaking down localsfor 'protection.' Except this time he came up short, because Fargothwas coming up light.
Alright, Fargoth may be annoying, but shaking down a fellow woodelfis going too far. I agreed to find Fargoth's hiding place for Hrisskar, but what I didn't say was that he wasn't getting whatever Fargoth hidthere. I chatted with Elone, the bartender. She's a scout, and gave megood directions to Balmora and Pelagiad. Pelagiad is on the way, butgoing all the way to Balmora required going through ashlands. Alright, definitely taking the silt strider at that point.
I headed outside, and hunted mudcrabs for a bit to kill time.Finding Fargoth's hiding place required it to be night, from theinstructions Hrisskar gave me, so I had a lot of time. I was headingtowards some rocks, to collect the meat from a kill, when a rat jumpedme. I shot it, and but looking in it's direction, I saw a body. I wentto investigate, and suddenly this wormlike thing attacks me! It got inmy face, and I stabbed it to death with my dagger, though it bit me acouple times. That hurt, and I wasn't sad to see it die.
The body was that of a tax collecter. I found two hundred septimson him, which I pocketed. I talked to a guard, as well as a Dunmer ladynamed Indrele Rathryon about it. They said it belonged to one ProcessusVitellius. The guard said it wasn't his problem. Some guard. Theydirected me back to Sucucius if I wanted to see anything done about it.Heading back to the body, I tried to give the guy a decent burial, butthe ground was too hard and rocky. Instead, I took his clothes. Theylooked nicer on me than my prisoners rags, though I kept my comfortablebroken-in shoes.
Evening was drawing nearer. I talked to Sucucius. He said thatProcessus was a good man, and that he had been missing for weeks. Hethen asked me if I had found any money on him...
'Uh... no, sir.' I don't see any point in making the rich anyricher. Besides, I could use the money. I have to finance a new life. The man thanked me and I headed on my way.
I still had some time to kill, so I thought over the tax recordthat I had given to Sucucius. There were only four people he didn'tcollect taxes from, so I figured it must have been one of them. I askedaround. The last guy I talked to, Foryn Gilnith, fully admitted todoing it. He said that Processus was corrupted, and that he deservedwhat he got. I looked at him in disgust, and took a couple swigs ofMazte... 'Sucucius said Processus was a good man. That's no excuse forwhat you did. Besides, you are guilty of tax evasion, if nothing else.Consider me the long arm of the law, today. I'm headed out of townsoon, anyways.'
Gilnith went down, and I wiped my dagger clean on the murderousscum's tunic. I then raided his house. He was carrying a ring withProcessus name engraved on it. I picked up a good read... A Dance in Fire, chapter 4. I only glanced through it, but made a note to read the restof the series when I got a chance. It was dusk, so I headed to thelighthouse.
On the lighthouse deck, I stumbled upon a hollow stump, with asilver cup and some gold inside. What a find! Inside I met ThavereVedrano, the lighthouse keeper, who was a friendly lady. She was deeplyupset about Processus' death, and I picked up that the two of them hadhad a thing together. I felt sorry for her loss, and mentioned findinghis ring 'nearby.' I gave it to her, and she thanked me and gave me acouple healing potions for it. I told her I was headed upstairs for theview, which wasn't a lie.
At the top of the stairs, I found an excellent read. The Wraith's Wedding Dowry. An excellent book, and I decided to 'hang onto it' a while. I headedoutside, at the top. Hrisskar's instructions were to watch Fargoth atnight, as he wandered around, and to see where his hiding place was.So, I started to wait. It started raining. Lovely.
Fargoth headed to his loot spot. It turns out to be a hollow stump,in the middle of a pond. What is it with people hiding things in stumpsin this town? When I headed down and investigated, I found the ring Ihad given him earlier, along with three hundred gold and some qualitylockpicks! What a find!
This place really drags at night, and I wasn't tired yet. I decidedto check out that bandit cave. Adamasarish? Adamaradick? Something likethat. I headed towards the silt strider for a look, but got sidetrackedby Fargoth's house. He was pacing outside of it, no doubt wonderingwhere his ring was. I picked the lock on the door while he wasn'tlooking, and headed in. I stole all of his booze, and there was a lotof it. Free booze! I'll drink to that!
Heading back to the silt strider to look for the cave Arillementioned, I didn't see anything behind it. I asked the silt stridercaravan lady about it. She didn't seem to know anything about it, butwhen I mentioned Vodonius to her, she said that the poor chap wasn'thappy with life on Morrowind. I can't really blame him, as I'd ratherbe with the duke's daughter myself. Still, the climate here isn't toobad, and the swamp here reminds me slightly of the jungles of Valenwood.
I eventually found the bandit cave, and entered to meet new companions.
'Hello? Anyone home?'
'Now you die!' was the response. This lady charges me, from alittle fire she was standing near, up a ramp. She had a dagger in herhands. I drew my bow, and she fell after a few arrows, almost right atmy feet. Panting, I checked her over. I traded boots... hers were nicenetch leather. Lighter than the fur things I was wearing. She also hada key on her, which I pocketed. Heading down the ramp, this time, anarrow knocked and ready. I went through a small wooden gate, and headedup some stairs. Inside a small pen were a bunch of slaves, all of themKhajiit or Argonian.
Alright, now I knew what kind of people these bandits were. Slaveryalways struck me as wrong, and I've sometimes resented the Dunmerbecause of it. Gives us mer a bad name, besides. The key I had unlockedthe pen, as well as the bracers they wore. They were all very gratefulfor me freeing them, and I told them to head outside to freedom as soonas it was safe. I resolved to make sure there were no more evil banditsin the cave.
Heading down the stairs, I spotted a robed figure on a dock thatwas above a subterranean pond of sorts. I fired an arrow into him. Heran at me, and another arrow or two dropped him. On the dock, I triedthe same thing on another fellow. This resulted in a rather nastyranged duel... he was throwing stars at me! It was a rather intenseduel, as I had to leap around to avoid his shots. And that threw off myaim, so he didn't go down quickly either. But he did go down, and Icelebrated with some mazte.
I searched some chests that I was standing near. Inside were chitingreaves and a shield, which I grabbed. I may be a slave to fashion, butI like to live, too. My cuirass and boots were not cutting it, as I hadbeen cut by a shuriken that the last fellow threw. In the nextcontainer I also found some perfume! It was labeled 'Telvanni Bug Musk'and had a delightful scent. The ladies were going to love this stuff. Itucked it away eagerly.
I spied an underwater tunnel from the dock, and decided to go for aswim. I'm not a bad swimmer, but I couldn't say the same for the poorfellow at the end of the tunnel. I grabbed an iron saber that he hadbrought with him. I left his bones behind as I surfaced for some air. Ifound myself in a small grotto of sorts, with a chest on a ledge aboveme. Inside was some flin! More booze! I'll drink to that! But I'll havethe mazte... and save the flin for later.
I returned to the dock and headed up to the body of the starthrower. I pulled my arrow from his chest, and took his stars. Hiscloth bracer started to round out my rag tag assembly of armor. Innearby crates and barrels I found a steel saber, moonsugar, skooma, some jewelry, more booze (!) and a pillow. I kept a pillow for mytravels, and decided the other stuff was fit to sell to Arille. Ididn't figure he'd buy the sugar or skooma though... that's illegal inCyrodiil, so I figured it was here too. I'll have to find a khajiitsomewhere... moonsugar is usually their sort of fun.
I headed through another wooden gate, and took a swim through along water filled tunnel. I drank some greef, and was feeling good. Iwas on my way up a narrow rock spiral, when a rat jumped me. I whippedout the chitin stars I had, and almost fell off the ledge. I also madea note to myself that my aim is horrid under the effects of greef. Imade a mental note to only drink that stuff in moments of relativesafety.
In a corner, I found a nice ring, along with a netch leatherpauldron, and some scattered coins. A little ways farther I picked up atorch, and the match to the pauldron. Farther on, I found that I hademerged at the top of the slave platform I was at before. I hadn'tnoted the tunnel entrance I was in the first time I passed it, so thissurprised me somewhat. I headed outside.
Adama-whoozits completed and cleared! I'll drink to that!
In my enlightened state of mind, I was heading to Arilles to unloadsome of this merchandise, when I ran into Vodonius. He told me a sadstory about a cursed ring, which I purchased for the low price of ahundred gold so that he could book passage back home. I suppose Ihelped the poor fellow out, but his ring really was garbage. And italso had his name on it. What is it with people from Seyda Neenengraving their labels on rings? Must be a paranoia thing.
I am now on the silt strider, headed for Balmora. I'm quite tired, and my head is still a bit boozed up, so I'm going to get some sleepwhile we make good speed there. I'll continue this at the end oftomorrow's adventures. turned out to be a good thing, I later foundout, even though my primary motivation in giving him the ring had beento get him out of my face.

Thieves Guild Morrowind
17th of Last Seed
I awoke this morning in Balmora. Whata sight! After spending a day in back-water Seyda Neen, civilization ofany sort was a welcome sight. Balmora was a decent sized place, surrounded by a wall and split down its length by the River Odai.
Firstthing is first... get rid of this silly package. I got directions fromthe caravan person to the South Wall Corner Club. I was just beingcareful, at this point, I think. It should be obvious where the placewas... along the south wall of the town, one would imagine, yes? Turnsout I was right. I walked inside, and asked the woman standing in frontof me for Bacola Closcius, the owner. She told me he was upstairs. Iwasted no time, and headed up to find him.
He gave medirections to Caius' place... just down the street, and up a level, essentially. I thanked him and headed out the door. I arrived as Caius'house, knocked, and entered. He was an older guy, an Imperial, andshirtless. Skooma apparatus was lying about in plain sight.
Igave him the package without comment. He opened it up and said that istold me to 'report to Caius Cosades' for orders. He asked me if Iwas ready to do that. I told him to stuff his orders, which he didn'tlike at all. Just to give him the right idea, I told him again, andleft before he looked mad enough to start hitting me. He told me tocome back when I was ready to start following orders, which will benever. I'm no Imperial pawn, sorry. I'm free in Morrowind, and nothingis going to hold me down now.
I headed uptowntowards the nicer shops I had heard about. I found an armorer namedMeldor, another Bosmer and a likeable enough fellow. We chatted aboutlocal rumors and such while he fixed up some of my equipment. I roundedout my collection of Netch leather armor from his selection.I awoke this morning in Balmora. Whata sight! Headingoutside, I saw a sign for a Khajiit trader, Ra'Virr, and headed inside.I was hoping to get rid of the moonsugar and skooma I was carryingaround before I got caught with it. Thankfully Ra'Virr was eager toacquire my small stash of drugs, and I walked out with a bit more clinkin my pockets.
I then located an alchemists shop, one Nalcaryaof White Haven. I traded in my apprentice quality mortar and pestle fora journeyman's model. I also bought a master quality retort, whichshould give my remedies a bit more duration, or maybe even a bit morekick. And it certainly couldn't hurt the taste! I also picked up apotion of mark, and a few potions of recall.
Next door toNalcayra was Milie Hastien, a fine clothier. I traded in my peasantgarb for some new clothes... extravagantly styled, and finely madealtogether. I completed the shirt, pants, and shoes with a matchingbelt. Don't ever let it be said that I am not a complete slave tofashion.
I stopped into the Razor's Hole and saw a very finesteel crossbow! And silvered bolts even! I immediately started todrool. The smith there, Thorek, could see that I was interested. I toldhim he could be assured of my return. The alchemy equipment was veryexpensive, and I was short on funds, so... I went across the street tothe Eight Plates and did the unthinkable. I sold some booze. Yes, Iknow it goes against the grain, but I promised myself to stay off thegreef, particularly. Besides, I'm sure I can acquire more, and it's notlike I sold it all.
Key To Nerano Manor
The bartender was somewhatappreciative that I helped restock her stores, but she gave me somewhatpoor prices for my alcohol. It's not like it's used alcohol, right? I cleared out their upstairs storage room for potion ingredients and loose change though, so I got my revenge.Backacross the street, at Thorek's Razor's Hole, I purchased my new weapon, with some plain bolts. The silvered ones will just have to wait until Ihave money to burn, unfortunately. I wandered over to the mage's guildnext, and located an enchanter upstairs named Galbedir. I sold her somescrolls of soul trapping to put some clink back in my pockets. Ipicked up some very reasonably priced gear from her as well, amagically poisoned dagger and an amulet that relieves fatigue and keepsme fresh and alert. I must remember to check back here once in awhile... the prices on the equipment I bought were great. Pocketchange, even.
I'm hitching the silt strider back toSeyda Neen. I've made up my mind to walk to Pelagiad from there, to seewhat that place was all about. Sounds like a nice little town, and it'sclose to Seyda Neen. And I don't have to walk through ash wastes to getthere, like I would from Balmora. It's getting late, so I'm going tonap on the way there, and walk to Pelagiad in the morning. I'll writemore after I've seen the place a bit.
18th of Last Seed
What a day! I feel like I've been retracing my footsteps every step of the way! Lots of walking... I'll explain.
Iwalked to Pelagiad without incident. I was a bit nervous, travelingabout on my own, but nothing posed a threat. The swamp eventually gaveway to higher ground, and the countryside became quite pleasant. I raninto a guar, and in my nervousness I shot it before it saw me. A fewmore arrows brought it low before it could get close to me, for which Iam glad.
Pelagiad is everything I expected, really. A littlevillage set around a fort, complete with quaint tavern, shops, andfarms. I entered the Halfway Tavern to schmooze it up with the localsand get in on the social scene here. A lady upstairs mentionedtraining, but when I pressed her for information there she said that Iwasn't in 'the Guild' and that if I wanted to join, I should read'Honor Among Thieves' first. I made a note of it... a thieves guild?could be useful to find work, who knows.
Fate smacked meupside the head immediately. I next approached the Khajiit lady,Ahnassi, downstairs. She noticed me almost immediately, and praised mysmooth moves. Of course, what lady couldn't see the beauteous creature that is Felonius Wildheart? Of course I'm smooth! And handsome!
Italked more to Ahnassi, and I could tell that she was really into me.I'd never really talked to many Khajiit before, but she was veryfriendly, and not entirely un-smooth herself. I asked her what she didfor a living, and she admitted to being a thief. I asked her about theguild I had heard about, and she was surprised that I was not in it.She gave me a copy of 'Honor Among Thieves' to read and keep formyself, and I thanked her for it. We sat down and talked awhile, andshe and I became friends. In fact, I'd say at this point that she wouldhave to be my best of friends here on Morrowind, at the moment. I swearI'll treasure that book forever.
I told her I would look into'the Guild' as soon as I could. We started talking about all sorts ofsecrets. She mentioned that she was curious about a lady upstairs, oneHrordis, who she now knows to be a Mehrunes Dagon worshipper. She saidHrordis had some sort of magical belt, but she didn't really know anymore about it than that, other than that she occasionally visited AldSotha, near Vivec.
And then, Ahnassi looked a bit nervous whenI talked to her about being careful with herself around evil Daedraworshippers and people like that. I asked her what was wrong, and shesaid that a Camonna Tong big-shot named Daren Adryn had beenbothering her. She explained to me what the Camonna Tong was, namely acriminal syndicate native to Morrowind, and direct competitors with thethieves guild. She asked me if maybe I might help her out, and I toldher that I would be happy to have a word with the guy, and even beathim up if I had to. One must be chivalrous to their lady friends, yes?
Ahnassitold me that he could be found in Gnaar Mok, at Nadene Rotheran'sshack. She gave me a high quality potion of feather, to lighten myjourney. I thanked her for it and told her I would take care of Darenas soon as I could. I drank my potion of Mark, so that I could Recallmyself back to Ahnassi's side if I should need to. Plus, it might cutdown on walking, right? I'll drink to that!
Outside, I checkedout a couple shops. Mebestian Ence didn't have a whole lot for sale, but upstairs I read a few good books: one of alchemy recipes, and onethat detailed pilgrimages for the local Dunmer temple. I alsohelped myself to a bit of coin, and in doing so discovered a DwemerCoherer, a fine artifact. It was too heavy to carry out, even with thefeather potion I had, so I made a note of it and left it there.
Ilooked at a map, and saw that there seemed to be a gap in the mountainswest of town, leading to the River Odai. Apparently I might havewalked to Balmora afterall without heading through wastes. Regardless,I decided to take this path to the coast, and find Hla Oad. Hopefullythere I could find a boat to take me north, along the coast, to GnaarMok.
I headed down the road, whistling a merry tune, mycrossbow ready for anything that popped out at me suddenly. Not fardown the road I saw a small door, leading into some sort of cave, similar to that other one... Adama-whatsit. Approaching the door, I seethat the name 'Ummusa' was written on it. I decided to have a look see.
Imade my way nervously down the corridor, descending deeper into thehillside. There was a lady there, who charged me with weapondrawn. Deja Vou? I shot her two or three times, in the chest, and shedropped lifeless to the ground. So, now I knew how friendly this placewas. I don't much relish killing people, but never let it be said thatI hesitate to defend myself. And again, what's a place like this doingso close to a nice town like Pelagiad? 'Tis my duty to weed out thesepeople before they start making raids on the town, or something equallyhorrid.
I went slowly down the hall, eyes alert for danger. Ifound it. Just around the bend, stood the largest, scariest Nord I'veever seen. And he had a BIG hammer in his hands. 'I'll get you if myname isn't Godrod Hairy-Breeks!' I panicked, and used my Lover's Kisson the man as he charged me. We Lovers, that is, those of us born underthat sign, are usually not into the whole stabbity parts of life. However, we have a really potent way of defending ourselves. Godrodfound out when he immediately stopped moving for what was to become thelast minute of his life.
As Godrod stood paralyzed to thespot, I immediately drank a few of the fatigue relieving potions that Ihad prepared earlier in my travels. The Lover's Kiss power is potent, but it leaves one feeling very light headed and tired. Like some otherthings, I might add.
I lost no time, and immediately jumped inwith my magically poisoned dagger. He seemed to be holding up to thepoison's effects better than most, which frightened me. The magicof the dagger temporarily abided, and I backed off and started shootinghim with my crossbow, in case he revived before I dropped him.Thankfully, he didn't.
No one else was in the cave, which Iexplored thoroughly. I found a lot of heavy armor and weapons and thelike, which I stacked up while I continued to search. Godrod had anenchanted belt on him, with the words 'Northern Knuck Knuck'embroidered on the inside. Interesting. An appropriate item for anappropriately named man.
Studying the belt a bit longer, Idetermined it could make someone tired if you touched them with it'spower. Again, how appropriate. Reminds me of the Lover's Kissreference, again. I strapped it about myself and continued searching. Ifound a small silver bowl, and not much else. The bowl had the nameBeluelle engraved on it. Thinking it notable, I kept it and grabbed theheavy stuff until I couldn't walk, and I drank a recall potion andheaded back to the Halfway Tavern.
Ahnassi looked at mecuriously as I reappeared with all of the items. I left a few thingsnext to Ahnassi, and told her to watch them for me at this point. Youknow, stuff I didn't want to carry around, like my pillow. I sold allof my junk, and got a bed at the tavern for a quick nap. I awokefeeling refreshed, and decided to ask around concerning this silverbowl.
I found out that a lady named Piernette Beluelle livedto the east. I was told that she had a friend at the fort, a healernamed Ygfa who could give me directions. I headed up to Fort Pelagiad, found Ygfa, and got directions to Piernette's place from the directionof Vivec. I figured the next time I was nearby, I could return the bowlto her.
Heading out of town, the second time. I arrived at acrossroads. I spied a pretty young Breton lady namedMaurrie Aurmine. She told me that she had just been robbed of herjewels. I told her that I could help, and quickly had my head spinning. The fellow who robbed her, Nelos Onmar, apparently is one smooth rogue.I like the guy already.
Maurrie was quite smitten with him,and said that she could care less about the jewels. She was certain theman could be found in Pelagiad... and I thought, wait... Nelos Onmar,I've met him at the Halfway Tavern, hadn't I? Fortunately, I thoughtthis thing out loud, and Maurrie heard me. She got all excited, andgave me the glove from her hand. She wanted me to give it to Nelos thenext time I saw him. Let it never be said that Felonius Wildheart wouldever do anything to impede the progress of romance!
I saidgoodbye to Maurrie after promising to help her, and continued down theroad. I was picking corkbulb roots and heather as I walked, intendingon using them for healing and feather potions, respectively. I waspondering the alchemical recipes I'd read in that book when suddenlysomething cast a shadow over me, and hit me in the back!
Ispun around, and was confronted by a large, winged thing! It stabbed atme with a sharp implement on its tail as it hovered over my head, and Ifired the bolt loaded in my crossbow at it and pulled my dagger. Thefight wasn't as close as it felt, but I was glad to see it over all thesame. My healing ring fixed up my minor cuts and scrapes, and Iproceeded in plucking several feathers from the thing, as they lookedvaluable, or perhaps useful in an alchemical concoction.
Icontinued along, and met an old Dunmer lady named Nevrasa Dralor. Shewas lost, and trying to get to the Fields of Kummu shrine. I told herthat I had read of its location in a book on pilgrimages, and when Itried to give her directions, she asked me for an escort. She wasn'tall that pretty... not the sort of person I want to be traveling with,so I began to politely decline.
'What's that? 150 septims for the trouble? Of course, I would be happy to escort you!'
Mymind was thus changed by the promise of gold. I decided that my missionfor Ahnassi was more important, however, so I took her back to Pelagiadand left her with a drink at the Halfway Tavern. Ahnassi again lookedpuzzled when I returned. I winked and headed over to Nelos, who wasstanding near the bar. I'm sure she'll understand. Felonius always hasthe best interests of pretty young ladies in need of romance in mind.He also has the best interests of kindly old ladies in mind. Especiallywealthy ones. What a day! I feel like I've been retracing my footsteps every step of the way! Lots of walking... I'll explain.

Nelos looked a bit confused at Maurries glove, but I explained. He seemed excited that she was interested in him, andgave me a note for her. I pocketed it, and told him it would bedelivered promptly.
Outside, I read the note as Iwalked back down the road, leaving town for the third time that day. Itwas a love note, of sorts, but it was well written enough that I didn'tfeel I had to improve upon it at all. Hey, don't kid yourself, with afew creative liberties, I'd make that Nelos guy VERY happy when he andMaurrie finally hooked up.
Maurrie took the note, and was veryexcited about Nelos agreeing to meet her. She then told me that Ishould meet with her friend, Emusette Braques.
'A date? I'll drink to that! Where is she at again? ...Tel Aruhn?!'
*blink*
'Thanks...'
Next time I'm across the continent, I'll have to make it a point to say hello, but I'm not in any hurry.
Icontinued down the road, passing a tomb, and an eggmine. No thanks. Ieventually emerged near the river, and crossed a rope bridge. I sawsome people near a fire, and approached. They were eggminers at theShulk eggmine a stones throw from their camp. We chatted it up a bitabout Kwama, and I found out that the wormlike thing that attacked memy first day at Seyda Neen was a Kwama Forager. They said that theywere aggressive, but not dangerous. Not dangerous? Yeah right!
Imade my way back to the Bitter Coast, and arrived near Hla Oad. I sawsome strange ruins off shore on a small peninsula... a Daedricshrine I'm guessing, from the look of it. I headed towards town... anunsavory looking Nord was standing across a bridge, along the well wornroad south. Looked to me like a 'checkpoint' if you catched my meaning. From his spot he could have access to any travelers heading into town.I approached him cautiously, and he said that I should be alert for'murderous outlaws' nearby.
Alright, I've been around longenough to know the opening line of an armed robbery. They ask you toborrow a couple coins, or some other meaningless conversation piece. Then they display a weapon, and they have your purse. I gave the Nord astony glare and kept walking. He didn't pursue, and for that I was glad.
I'vejust arrived in Hla Oad. What a dump! This place makes Seyda Neen looklike a bustling Metropolis. I'm booking passage with a boat headingnorth to Gnaar Mok. It's late though, and I mean to catch afew winks in the boat as we head up the dreary coastline. I'll fill youin tomorrow on what happens.
Well, today has been a rather tumultousday. I got to Gnaar Mok, which is easily as slummy as Hla Oad.I asked around for Daren Adryn. Apparently he does hang out atNadene Rotheran's shack, along with 'the rest' of the ComonnaTong people in town. Lovely. So he was going to have friends withhim.
I headed into the shack, and figured out which of thefour people was Daren. I asked him about Ahnassi, and he denied knowingwho or what I was talking about. I pressed the matter, and the goonattacked me!
I had prepared a Lover's Kiss for just thatevent, and he froze on the spot. My dagger's poison leeched itself intohim after a bit of the old stabbity. His friends of course interjectedat this point, and I was hard pressed to defend myself. I was drinkinglike a bum at happy hour throughout that whole scuffle, I tell you. Itook a couple knife wounds, but I had the healing potions in mysystem already, and they fixed me up before the scars evenset in. I've been making those health restoring and fatigue reducingpotions throughout my journey here, and I must say they come in handyduring a scrape like this.
I was thinking about chugging downa recall potion after Daren, but in the end I prevailed anyways. Mypotion drinking and stabbity were victorious, and Ahnassi was safe, more importantly. At this point I was mostly concerned about havingtrouble with the law, but as it turned out I didn't have to worry.
Iraided Nadene's little hut, and recalled back to Ahnassi's side. Shewas very grateful, and worried about the price on my head. She calledin favors from some friends and saw to it that any trouble I would havehad wasn't a problem. Ahnassi is so thoughtful.
'Ahnassi thanks you with her hands, her lips, her heart.'
'Thank you, Ahnassi... maybe we should maybe do that somewhere else?'
Iasked Ahnassi about the whole Khajiit angle at one point. She said,'yes, Ahnassi is a Khajiit. And Felonius is a wood elf. And that suitsAhnassi just fine.' Hey babe, if it doesn't bother you... I'm open tonew things!
She then gave me a really nice suit of clothing. It was styled a bit different than the one that I had purchased formyself, but of similar quality. And she had even hidden a special bookfor me in it... the 30th Lesson of Vivec. And then she told me aboutsomeone in charge of the Redoran Vault in Vivec, one Beldose Dralor, leaves his key in his wife's clothes chest. I may just have tolook into that, sometime.
She then brought up a subject thatimmediately made me wonder a little about how well things were going towork out between us. She apparently has a mate, or at least had a mate, named J'Dhannar. She told me things had gone sour between them becauseof his skooma addiction. I made a mental note not to offer Ahnassi anymoonsugar at that point, regardless of what I thought I knew aboutKhajiit culture.
Ahnassi told me that J'Dhannar was livingsomewhere in Vivec, in the St. Olms canton. She wanted me to go talk tohim, and to find a cure for his addiction, even though there supposedlyis no cure for skooma addiction. She had a lot of faith in me, andinsisted that I could do it. I was less sure, but I agreed to at leasttalk to him.
I headed upstairs to get a quick nap beforewalking to Seyda Neen. I was planning on catching a silt striderto Balmora to take care of a few things, as it would be fasterthan walking. I don't like to leave Ahnassi waiting too long, but Ineeded a few things pretty badly, including more recall potions. Iwanted to look into finding that thieves guild as well, as apparentlythey can deal with bounties that I get on my head, should I acquireany. I decided to take a bit of a 'long cut' that took me much farthersouth to the coast before heading back to Seyda Neen.
Alongthe way, I ran into a Dunmer, standing along the side of the road. Iapproached him to ask him if he needed assistance... as I approached hesaid, 'let me relieve you of the burden of your coin.' I kept walking.Anyone who says that before you even say hello is probably Bad News(tm).
I'm currently catching my breath along the shoreline, well beyond that fellow's reach. I'm almost to Seyda Neen, and when Iget there I'm likely going to snooze on the silt strider trip, asusual. I'll fill you in tomorrow when things start to wind down for me,assuming they ever do.

Morrowind Key To Nerano Manor
20th of Last Seed
I arrived this morning in Balmora. I headed to a few corner clubs insearch of this 'Guild' that I needed to join. At the Southwall I hitpay dirt. Sottilde directed me to Sugar Lips. Sugar Lips is a Khajiit,go figure. Sugar Lips is a high up in the 'Guild' it seems, as sheoffered to brief me on the rules of the organization, and extended amembership invitation. I heard the rules, listened to what they had tooffer. It sounded good so I signed up and asked for orders. Sugar Lipswants a diamond. 'For her friend,' she says. Sure.
She tipped me off that a diamond could be found at Nalcayra's alchemyshop, across town. I was well aquainted with the place, so I headedover immediately. Nalcayra had a box upstairs with three diamondsinside, under no guard at all. Sugar Lips only wanted one. How truly...fortunate. For me. I headed downstairs and bought some Recall potions.
The next stop was the pawn shop. I had goods to offload. I flirted withthe pretty dark elven maid at the counter, and even threw her a cheapbribe. The results were a very good price for my extra diamonds. Sheeven gave me a very reasonable sum for Nuccius' ring. Her loss on thatuseless thing. I headed back to Sugar Lips and gave her the diamond. She then wanted me to fetch her the key to Nerano Manor. She mentioneda couple people it might be on, but I decided she can wait on it.
I did head to the manor area and check the place out though. I lootedthe place good. When I get around to giving Sugar Lips the key, she'llbe lucky if she finds a single bloat in the place. I also stopped intonearby Hlaalo manor while I was in the neighborhood. Nice stuff! Andvintage brandy! What a lucky find! But what's this? A dead body? I'llhave to save the brandy for some special occasion... there's a murderto solve!
I searched the rest of the place for some clue as to the murderer'sidentity. I found a frightened servant in her room, upstairs. She saidher name was Uryne Nirith, and that she saw the killer. She said theman was a dunmer, with a big mohawked hair-do. And nice equipment. Thename of the man who was killed was Ralen Hlaalo.
I sold some nice clothing at the pawn shop. A shame, really, but Iprefer the gifted suit Ahnassi gave to me. I searched for some sign ofthe murder. One fellow at the Council Club fit the description. Iinquired about the murder... he said Nine-Toes did it. In fact, everyone at the Council Club said Nine-Toes did it. You know, if itwere as easy as saying someone did it, at least you would think theycould do the followup on the job and tell the guards to look into it.Something tells me the fellow with the mohawk is the one... I don'tthink that maid would lie to my ever so charming self.
Just to make sure, I decided to talk to Nine-Toes, the argonian. Heprofessed his innocence. The choice seemed pretty clear cut to me. Now,who to report this to? The guards were useless. Larrius Varro, at FortMoonmoth? Too far a walk. Maybe the Council Hall. House Hlaalu can takecare of it.
Oh. They were no help either. They said to 'deal with the situation.'
Ok, you know what that means. Time to take matters into my own hands. Imade with the stabbity, and the smith fell. It was over pretty quick, but his friends from downstairs started coming up after me, so I had tobook out of there fast. Of course I stopped long enough to grab theman's things! Justice isn't free, you know! I ran to the Southwall, avoiding guards as I did. I sold the armorers hammers and dwarven axeto Sottilde. She makes an okay fence in a pinch, you know that? Thatstuff was getting heavy.
Downstairs, I had a few words with Phane Rielle. He took care of theguards, for a price. A price I'm more than happy to pay, thank you! Iheaded to the Council Hall again, and spoke with Nileno Dorvayn there. She was unhappy that I killed the man, but she paid me for solving themurder. Bonus! It was enough to have covered the innevitable 'fees' atthe Southwall, so I ended up coming out ahead on this little scandal, which is never a bad thing.
At the moment, I'm on a silt strider, heading towards Vivec. Idecided to skip town for a while, let things here cool down a bit.Phane Rielle said that I might be able to find a book on skoomaaddiction at Jobasha's Rare Books in the foreign canton in Vivec, so Isuppose that's where I'm headed next. I'll write more at the end of theday, after my affairs in Vivec finish.
Time for a nap!
Time for a nap!

Hello, Vivec! Felonius is moving onto the new scene!
Got to Vivec this afternoon. What a hue place! I arrived otusidethe foreign canton. It took me ages to find Jobasha's little shop...buried in the lower canalworks of the place. I perused the place a lotonce I found it though. He has a lot of nice books... certainly morethan the dealer in Balmora did. I was very pleased to find an entireset of 'A Dance in Fire,' which I had previously found two chapters of.The entire story was truly marvelous... I really enjoyed it. The poorguy reminds me a lot of my own misadventures. I couldn't help butempathize.
Jobasha had the book though. 'Confessions of a Dunmer SkoomaEater.' It was a complicated philosophy of a way for skooma addicts tocome to terms with themselves by breaking the cycle of abuse tothemselves. By admitting there was nothing wrong with using skooma, they were able to shrug off the shame and raise their self esteem highenough to kick the drug. The catch is that most of society sees noreason to think there is 'nothing wrong' with using the drug. Good luckskooma addicts, I suppose.
So I'm wandering through the city, and shmoozing with the locals.Someone mentioned a bandit named 'Herd' having a bolt hole somewherebetween Ald Sotha and Bal Fell. That's not too far from the city, butit potentially requires a lot of swimming to find. Maybe some otherday, when I'm less busy. And really bored.
Then I meet this nice lady named Sevise Teran in the St. OlmsCanalworks while looking for J'Dhannar. She told me about a lady namedMoroni who lost her husband, who was yet anotherskooma addict. This St. Olms Canton is turning out to be the slums ofVivec. Sevise said Moroni could be found at the Brewers and FishMongers Hall. Since when, I ask of you, does brewing fine drink haveanything to do with fish mongering? Yuck!
Anyways, I figured maybe I'd give the lady some help, since I'm in the neighborhood and my mission here is related.
But I found J'Dhannar. He was in the canalworks. I talked to him, andgave him the book. He released Ahnassi from their... marriage? Theywere married? According to J'Dhannar, he's Ahnassi's husband. She usedthe term 'mate.' I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope thedifferences amount to racial slang... old boyfriends I can tolerate.Even ex-husbands, but I certainly don't like being lied to.
Anyways, he took the book after some talking. We both agreed that wewanted what was best for her, and he seemed to respect that. He told meto apologize to her for him, and he said he was going to clean himselfup. I wished him well. But Ahnassi is my girl now... so I didn't wishhim too well, you know what I mean? I hope he does at least cleanhimself up... I don't harbor any ill will. But it's not my fault thatshe likes me now instead of him, and I don't feel threatened by a drugaddict much, or even an ex-addict, if he fixes himself up. He won't bemaking any more waves than she already has. I'm confident in myrelationship.
So, departing for the Brewers and Fish Mongers Hall, I found MoroniUvelas. I listened to her story, and a sad one it was. She worked atthe Hall long hours. Her husband, Danar, spent her hard earned wagesfeeding his addiction and hanging out with his seedy friends. But he'sgone missing, and of course Moroni still has feelings for the bum, soshe wants me to find him. Supposedly he used to hang out in thesewers... or 'underworks' as they are called in Vivec. Changing thename doesn't make the place any more pleasant though... ick. Still, agood deed is a good deed, and I decided to see it through.
I wandered about the rest of the canalworks. I found a storage areawith a few rats in it. After cleaning out the rats, I picked the placeclean of ingrediants and useful items. Then I headed into theunderworks.
The first thing I have to deal with is the smell. I made it a point notto go swimming, and made every attempt to keep my feet dry. The secondthing I had to deal with is this crazy lady wearing plate armor andwaving a sword at me. She attacked me! These sewers are a friendlyplace, I tell ya. The canton is going downhill fast. So I backpedal asfast as I can, and start shooting her with my crossbow. Lucky for me,that plate armor makes her really slow, so she has a hard time swingingat me. We ended up looking rather comical, with me running around incircles trying to stay away from her, and shooting her the whole time.Eventually she dropped, shouting obsenities and curses at me the wholetime.
So I dust myself off, and make it a point to come back to collect herarmor and equipment when I have a spare moment. Then I wandered througha bit of sewer, and...
I had to get my feet wet to continue exploring.
And they were new shoes. Thankfully the smell did come out, and I didn't have to throw them away.
Regardless, I was almost startled out of those same shoes when Irounded a slight bend in a tunnel and saw... a zombie thing! It was oneof those corprus victims, I think... and it looked more frighteningthan anything I'd seen before. Thankfully for me, it was slow. Reallyslow. Slower than the woman in plate armor. And likewise, my boltsseemed to hurt it, so I was able to drop the thing.
I got close enough to examine it once it went down. I wore a ring...Danar's ring. That's sad. I cut the ring from his finger, and picked itup in a handkerchief. Can't be too careful, with that corprus, as Ihear it. I returned to Moroni and showed her the ring. 'So he is dead,'she said to me, and simply nodded. I couldn't bring myself to tell herhow... but I had to show her the ring. I didn't want her to get corprusthough, so... I touched it when I gave it to her. That was hard for me,I'll say that. If I come down with the plague, I'll find a curesomehow, and get back to her to cure her too. It's the least I can do.Poor woman.
She seemed calm, despite her loss. I guess she lost her husband a longtime ago. Damn that skooma. She gave me a potion of cure disease as athank-you. I headed back to the sewers to collect that woman's plate, and I recalled to Ahnassi.
Thankfully, she and I worked out the misunderstanding between her andJ'Dhannar. And aparently news travels fast... she told me he had leftfor Elswyr and had successfully kicked the addiction. I wish the guywell... but I was happy to know he was moving out. Call me selfish.
And things just keep getting better! I moved in with Ahnassi! I'lldrink to that, I say! Her place is loaded! There's booze everywhere! And I found sparkstars in one of the chests! 'Really, Ahnassi, youshouldn't have.' But she insisted that what was hers was mine, so Ihelped myself to a slice of the good life while I stayed there. I tellyou, things are looking brighter all the time. And apparently I am nowAhnassi's VERY special friend, since she gave me a key to get into herplace anytime. I set the place up real nice with some of the things Ihad been carrying around with me on my travels. And get this... there'sonly one bed. Made for two.
At the moment, I am reclining in said bed, and about ready to close myeyes for the night. What a long day... but, tomorrow I shall wake up(next to Ahnassi, purring, I hope) and my worries shall be washed away.
The upside to a Khajiit girlfriend... they don't have cold feet to put on yours in bed. Bonus!

I woke up today and had some pillow talk with Ahnassi. The girlwants flowers. That means baby is going to get her flowers, dammit.Specifically, she wants two flowers. One for her, and one for myself.I'm not really one for picking flowers for myself, usually, but shewants me to have one, so... I'm off to find flowers.
Before I leave though, she told me about her friend, an acrobat, who she says I should train with to jump higher. I told her I'll stopand see her friend, and then head out the door.
I remembered there were Gold Kanet flowers at the end of thestreet... at the outskirts of town. Sure enough, there were. My thatwas easy. The next on the list is a Blue Coda flower... I'd have to goto the Bitter Coast for one of those. They grow in the swamps, usuallyin the middle of a pond of nasty looking water. They are pretty looking flowers, but I can't help but remember I wanted the Bitter Coast trip to be as brief as possible.
First thing though, was to finish old debts. I walked into the Halfwaytavern, and Nevrasa Dralor, from a couple days ago was there still. Ihad promised to take her to the Fields of Kummu shrine, but she askedwhile I was busy doing other things, so I left her at the tavern. Timeto get the old lady to church though. So off we went.
We were a ways down the road. She walked really slow... so I wasplaying escort the whole time. I have no idea what she was doing outhere by herself in the first place. If she ran into a serious bandit,it would be curtains for her.
While keeping my eyes open, I see a little cave door nearby. Abandit hole, I figured. The name carved on the door was Adanumuran... Idon't like the idea of bandits watching roads that I travel, so I leftNevrasa outside and told her I'd be right back. Time for the wood elfto handle this.
The inside was no creepier than other caves I'd been in. There weresome nix hounds in there, strangely enough. And then I find a chest. Achest! I'll drink to that! And inside the chest... blah! religiousbooks! One of them looked valuable though... nice embossed letteringand such, so I kept it. I also found a guarskin drum and a fat lute, toentertain the people in Balmora with!
The rest of the cave was pretty much a ho-hum experience. After Icleaned it out f ruffians, I headed back outside. Nevrasa looked at mewith her spuinty little eyes.
'Is that blood on you?' she asked.
'None of it's mine,' was my reply. And thank goodness for that little fact.
So we're getting near the crossroads, towards where the shrine wouldbe. It's a good walk, I tell you, from Pelagiad to the Fields of Kummu.Almost as far a walk as Balmora is... it's on the north edge of LakeAmaya. So like I was saying... crossroads. I see this wood elf,Thoroner by name. I say hello, as he looks worried. He apparently losthis friend, one Edras Orul, who left a couple hours ago to check outsome strange animal noises. I told him I could help him out, so I leftNevrasa there to keep him company. Poor guy looked scared to be leftalone. I'm sure the two of them hit it off great.
Anyways, I do some sneaking around, and find his friend. He'd beentrapped behind some rocks by some mating kagouti. It wasn't really safefor him to come out, so I had to shoot the kagouti. In the process, Ifind this journal. It belonged to Edras... creepy stuff. That guy needsto get out more. Mating kagouti indeed.
So I reunite the two pals, and Thoroner gives me a magic amulet in gratitude. Magic amulet? I'll drink to that!
Nevrasa and I parted with the two mer, and head down the road. I lefther at the shrine, and she paid me a nice sum. 150 septims buys a lotof booze!
On the way back, I raided a farmer's field for saltrice and corkbulbroots. They make good healing potions. Handy in a pinch, I tell you. Then I see the dock, and made a detour to look at the water beforeheading to Pelagiad. However, little did I know that I would spy...
A kollop! I decided to fetch pearls, for Ahnassi! I dove in.
'Ow!' Slaughterfish!
But for my trouble, I have four pearls, one for each slaughterfish Islew. Nasty buggers have the sharpest teeth ever... and they swimaround really fast and are so hard to hit.
Anyways, long story short, I got back to Pelagiad, sold my stuff, had adrink or two, and I'm spending the night with Ahnassi again. See youtomorrow!

It was a relatively low key day, but a nice one.
Got up this morning. Too early. Walked to Seyda Neen to get a Codaflower. Found the flower. Picked it. Got a silt strider into Vivec.Caught up on the missing beauty sleep.
I had decided to go looking for that Piernette Beluelle... the supposedowner of that bowl I found in that cave, with that guy, and thatbelt... you remember.
Anyways, on the way I went pearl diving in a small lagoon I passed. Ityielded three more pearls. No slaughterfish this time. I'll drink tothat!
Found Piernette. Gave her back the bowl. It turned out to be a giftthat her husband had received... it had been stolen from them, and hewas currently in the legion, in Argonia. She said she didn't haveanything to offer me for it. I said it was no big deal. I mean, shecouldn't have known I was just going to show up with a long lost valuedposession of theirs. Besides... I did this for the good karma. I mean, how many other people would take a long walk to give someone back asilver bowl they found in some bandit cave? Never let them say thatFelonius doesn't go the extra mile to do a good deed. Literally.
She thanked me profusely and I headed back to Vivec. I found Seyendie,Ahnassi's acrobat friend, in the fighter's quarters in the arenacanton. She gave me a book, 'Black Arrow, Volume I.' We talked a bit,and she showed me some acrobatic maneuvers... for a reasonableprice... that will undoubtedly prove useful in the future in the rapidevasion of people intent on harming my person.
I headed back to Ahnassi after my visit with her friend. She lovedthe flowers. She told me to keep and treasure the gold kanet formyself. I put it in a vase with some water... hopefully it won't dieright away. Maybe when it does I'll press it into the pages of thisjournal, or something equally tacky. Beats me... it's a flower! But,alas, it is from my dear Ahnassi, so I feel I must honor her request.
So, um... later on, pillow talk, you know. She mentions aFlamemirror robe, in the Telvanni Tower, in Vivec. In a chest, belonging to one Mavin Drenim. She wants me to bring it back to her toprove how smart I am. Piece of cake I figure...
*sigh*
Back to Vivec in the morning?
*sigh*
Back to Vivec in the morning?
Morrowind Key To Nerano Manor
23rd of Last Seed.Crazy busy day. And the title is the understatement of the decade, at least.
I woke up this morning feeling like this day was going to changeeverything. I was supposed to make a big bust on the Telvanni Tower. Ifelt like it was going to be bigger than just that, somehow. It turnedout I was right...
I decided to walk to Vivec, instead of to Seyda Neen for the SiltStrider. That walk to Piernette's place yesterday was reallyrefreshing, and the Ascadian Isles countryside is really pretty.
Plus, I could raid plantations along the way for marshmerrow and corkbulb root. Yes, my grin is innocent.
Anyways, I walk to Vivec, skirting that sinister looking Dunmer asI go. I arrive in Vivec, and make my way to the Telvanni Canton. I'mlistening in on rumors as I make my way towards the Telvanni Tower. Ididn't really know where the place was, so I was schmoozing, trying tofigure that part out. I heard that the 8 Plates in Balmora hiredmusicians. No kidding? I also heard that an enchanter in the cantonnamed Audenian Vallus has a major rat infestation problem. Doesn'tsound like my kind of party.
I found the tower. The people inside are even less friendly than theones outside... not crazy about these Telvanni types. Anyways, I decideto walk like I belong in the place, and find this flamemirror robe onmy own without talking to many more mean people.
I found the library in the place. Nice stuff. I read 'Azura and the Box' and 'The Dowry.' The Dowry was very nice... nicked it.
Headed upstairs, found the robe. It was a piece of cake, really. I justwandered in with a feather-duster I grabbed from elsewhere and made itlook like I was cleaning up the place. Put on this really dour andbeaten expression, like I was some low life nobody, or a slave maybe. That snobbish Telvanni didn't even look my way. It was all I could donot to wear the bloody robe out the door, right in front of him even.
I was out of things to do in Vivec, so it seemed. Surely not fightrats? Then I remembered something lovely Ahnassi told me, about a vaultkey in Dralor Manor... someone's wife keeping it in her closet. Aftersome searching, I found the manor. I found the bedroom, with the wifestill in it. I found the closet. I found the key. That wife isn't tooobservant.
I helped myself to their downstairs supply rooms while I was atit. I'll drink to that! Nicked a copy of 'Charwich-Koniinge Letters I,'which looked rather valuable.
It got MUCH better, it turns out, with only one minor drawback.
I headed to the Redoran Vaults. Indeed, that key did open it! Or, halfof it, at least! And every chest in the place, I might add! I walked inlike I owned the place, then waited for the guards to look the otherway while I took stock of what they had. I decided to head to Balmora, buy a Mark potion, then come back for it and bring it all to Ahnassi'splace in one fell swoop, right under the guard's collective noses. Myfair Ahnassi now has not only pearls, but diamonds, and emeralds, andrubies...
I got back to Ahnassi's and slept like a baby for a few hours. I can'tremember feeling so lightheaded before. I gave Ahnassi the robe as agift... but you can tell she thought the jewels in the pockets werenice too. Ahnassi then told me about a secret entrance to the ImperialCommission in Ebonheart, and some magical blindfold inside, but to tellyou the truth, I was barely listening at that point and had to get herto tell me about it again later.
I was sorting through the stuff that I had taken with me on my initialtrip out of the vaults. I now had a glass dagger (of questionablerepair), helm, and pauldrons... and a pair of ebony shortswords. I wasfinally able to ditch the heavy netch armor suit for some patchworkglass armor that would serve me twice as well! I'll drink to that!
In my hurry to get to the Seyda Neen silt strider, I got ambushed by anix hound after not paying attention to my surroundings. And withinsight of the silt strider, to add insult to injury!
In Balmora I did some crazy shopping. I traded in my journeyman'smortar and pestle for a grandmaster's quality model. It was veryexpensive, but I have gear coming worth three times what that thingwas! I of course got a few potions of Mark and Recall as well.
Galbedir had a Bone Guard Belt that looked handy. I got that and a LifeRing to replace that old thing I had gotten from Fargoth. Picked upsome scrolls of Phygy-somethin-or-other's Gem Feeder. Then I learnedFeather, Water Breathing, Levitate, Bound Longbow, Soul Trap, Poison, and Paralysis spells from the Mages guild tutors.
Morrowind How To Taunt
I checked out some crates in an alleyway. Someone left a magicalmaul in there! Mine now, I figured, and very soon Meldor's. I'll drinkto that!Meldor fixed up my glass dagger, which was in sad shape. I alsobought a Netch leather tower shield. Then it was back to Vivec to grabmy loot and Recall to Ahnassi's place.
I got back to Ahnassi's with all of my stuff, and that's when Irealized the flaw in my plan. I did an inventory of the rough value ofsome of these pieces... expensive gold and ebony heavy armors... ebonyweapons... this stuff was pricey. I might be 'rich' at first glance...but who was going to buy this stuff from me? I now have a king's ransomand no fence to sell it to without taking a major, major loss in valuefrom what the stuff is worth, and I am not prepared to do that justyet. I'll think of something, I'm sure.
Anyways, I headed to Ebonheart to think my problems over. Ahnassi toldme the secret entrance was underwater. I got to Ebonheart withouttrouble. Easy walk. I tried to discover the location of the Commissionto narrow the location of the underwater entrance down, butI couldn'tfind it. So I went swimming. Surprisingly enough, I DID manage to findthe entrance without problem. I was opening the door, and 'ouch!' damnslaughterfish. I didn't feel much like fighting it, though, so I leftit outside and swam in.
Inside, I shot three diseased rats with my crossbow. Then I'mexploring, and in a dead end, hidden among some fungus, I find a glassjink blade! I'll drink to that!
I found that doorway Ahnassi was talking about, but the thing is lockedbeyond my ability to handle, so I guess that part is waiting for someother time.
I explored the rest of the cavern... that's when it get's reallystrange. I found this guy who says he got kicked out of the legion...and that he was hiding down here and that they couldn't make himleave... and that I couldn't be let go to tell anyone he was here.Bastard attacked me!
A Lover's Kiss power laid him stunned. I summoned a skeleton (over andover again) with my new belt, chugged some mazte, and the boney friendand myself wirked the guy over really well. When the paralysis woreoff, the jink blade finished him.
He was wearing some really expensive armor... called Lord's Mail. Very nice stuff. And a Demon Katana.
I found some potions... of Levitate. I looked up, on a hunch. Up topwas a rock ledge that I floated up to. His camp was up there.Moonsuger. Assorted goodies, and... what's this?
A GLASS FROST SWORD.
Recalled to Ahnassi's with my unexpected additional loot. What a great day.
My 'problem' just got even bigger, with three additional pieces to dealwith, but I'm sure I can figure something out. I certainly won't loseany sleep over it. See you tomorrow!

Ondres Nerano
I'm currently retired as I write this, and living the good life inPelagiad. Ahnassi and I are quite happy together, so I've given up thedangerous adventuring life and now sing and play songs at the innacross the street. I have decided to leave this journal for my possibleheir someday, or else as a memory of my deeds so that when I pass, I amnot forgotten entirely.
Perhaps I'll have it published as an adventure, and distributed all about Tamriel! Wouldn't that be grand?
You know... I'll drink to that!
Farewell, with fondest regards,
Morrowind Key To Nerano Manor
